Garbage and Recycling Frequently Asked Questions
Before you pick up the phone or email us, it's likely that someone else has the same question you do! We've included a few of our most frequently asked questions below, to help you get answers faster. What do I need to do to start service?
It is very simple. Give our office a call at 715-513-6686 and we will take down some of your information. It takes about 3 minutes.
You can also fill out our online form to start your service.
We will email you to confirm within 24 hours.
Do you service my area?
We provide garbage and recycling services for Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Altoona, as well as the townships of Lake Hallie, Lafayette, and Washington.
How much do your services cost?
We offer very competitive pricing, with none of the additional fees or surchages that other waste management companies charge. You'll get one flat fee that is consistent. For a price quote, please give us a call or email us!
Do I have to pay in advance for service?
NO! We will send a bill out within the first week of service. The bill is due within 20 days after that.
Do you have bulk item pickup / leaf pickup in the Spring and Fall?
Yes! Twice a year, we'll pick up yard waste on your regularly scheduled garbage pickup day. Get more information on other items such as electronics or hazardous items on the right side of this page!
When are holiday pick up schedules in effect?
We observe, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. If the holiday falls before your regularly scheduled pickup day then your service day will be moved to the following day. For example: Thanksgiving falls on Thursday. If your normal pick up is on Mon, Tues, or Wed. There will be no change in your pickup day. If it falls on Thursday or Friday. You pick up will then be pushed back to Friday & Saturday.
What happens in inclement weather?
If the weather is such that we cannot perform service for the entire route. We will push back service for that day and all subsequent days after that. It works just as though the snow storm was a holiday.
What can I put in my trash container?
Almost anything can be put in your container. We do not allow dirt, rock, sand, grass clippings, or hazardous materials in the container. For resources on what to do with yard waste or hazardous materials, visit our Recycling page.
Also there are times when the container may become too heavy for our trucks to pick up, due to heavy construction materials, for example.
